A compounding pharmacy in downtown Portland was experiencing premature failures with its air compressors. After a detailed evaluation, Coastal Efficiency determined that the compressors were operating in an environment where temperatures regularly exceeded the manufacturer’s specifications.

We presented two solutions: relocating the compressors or converting a rooftop mechanical skid into a conditioned space. The facility chose relocation, and our team began preparing the new location by prefabricating piping and installing tie-ins in advance to minimize downtime. .

Because compressed air is critical to the facility’s production, the move was completed over a weekend to avoid disruption. The air compressors now operate within proper temperature ranges in the maintenance shop, improving reliability, extending equipment life, and reducing maintenance costs.
