This homeowner wanted to heat their 2,800-square-foot home using a combination of pellet heat and heat pumps. To meet their goals, we designed a system with five zones—four connected to Mitsubishi’s Smart Multi-platform and one using their high-performance 15k Hyper-Heat single zone unit.

This configuration provided the most efficient approach while also maximizing available rebates. The Smart Multi system requires a branch box, which we installed in the basement mechanical space for convenient access and simplified service.
